Thankful Friday.
Sometimes when you are in the routine of life, something or someone lifts you up in a way that you never anticipated and couldn't come at a more poignant time.
My friends Nancy and Bethany, Powell Brower Home, featured some of my work on their blog on Wednesday. That was enough to lift this girl out of the snowy doldrums for certain. And then I read the comments. I have been so blessed by blogging friendships and clients that let "Me Be Me". And I couldn't have imagined the responses. Thank You from the bottom of my heart!
Some of you know that I have been struggling with my Father. The Man who has been the Rock of my Mother's and My life. He is physically strong ... but mentally losing ground. As the Powell Brower girls were praising my "Bold Traditional" style, I was spending the day at the doctor's office hearing how my Daddy has severe cognitive impairment. What a day of emotional Ups and Downs.
This Man who gave away his daughter for the Second (and best) time around 11 years ago.
In life, a parents job is to teach our children how to find themselves, do their best, be strong, go after dreams ... my parents preached this and supported me in every aspect of my life. And now, my dream is to keep my Daddy safe.
So not to be a downer this Friday. But an example of real life. And taking every moment we have to say thank you and appreciate those in our lives NOW.
Thank you Nancy and Bethany for your friendship and Thank you to my Daddy who has taken care of me my entire life.
Happy Weekend ... find the joy in every moment, my friends ... and don't forget to say Thank You!
